Clubs & Activities

Through Irwin clubs, students live the Irwin Rocket Way by learning, leading and growing together in academics, athletics and the arts.

Athletics & Physical Wellness Programs

Cross Country
A running program focused on endurance, mental toughness and personal growth. Students learn the importance of consistency, goal-setting and perseverance as they train and compete.

 
Elementary Basketball Club
A fun, skill-building basketball program where students learn dribbling, passing and shooting through drills and scrimmages. Emphasizes teamwork, confidence and enjoyment of the game.
 
Golf Club
An introductory golf program where students learn basic skills such as grip, stance and swing. Emphasizes focus, patience, sportsmanship and confidence in a supportive environment.
 
Irwin Basketball Team
A competitive school basketball team that builds athletic skills, sportsmanship, teamwork and school pride while representing Irwin in games and events.
 
Major League Soccer (MLS GO)
This is a structured soccer program that connects physical fitness with teamwork. Students develop discipline, collaboration skills and healthy habits.

Performance Clubs

Irwin Cheer Team
A school-based cheer team that represents Irwin at events and games, promoting school pride, teamwork and performance skills.
 

Step Team
A performance-based team that blends rhythm, movement, and cultural expression. Students build coordination, precision, accountability, leadership and confidence while performing as a unified group.

Chess Club
A strategic thinking club where students learn chess fundamentals, problem-solving and planning skills. Open to beginners and experienced players.
 
Investment Club
A financial literacy program that introduces students to saving, investing and long-term planning. Students explore how money grows over time, practice decision-making and apply math skills to real-world situations.
 
Robotics Club
A hands-on STEM program where students design, build and program robots. Focuses on basic engineering concepts, coding, creativity and problem-solving.

Irwin Ambassadors
A leadership program where students represent the school during tours, events and community engagements. Ambassadors build confidence, communication skills, responsibility and model the Irwin Rocket Way.
 
The Irwin Podcast
A student-led media platform where learners research topics, conduct interviews and share stories. It helps develop speaking, listening, writing, collaboration and media production skills.

Wellness & Environmental Skills

Garden Club
A hands-on program where students learn how to grow plants, care for gardens and understand the importance of sustainability. Students develop responsibility, patience, teamwork and an appreciation for healthy food and the environment. Available during early fall and mid-late spring.
